Day off around Guangzhou

It was a really nice relaxing day today.  After the excitement and huge anticipation of getting Katy along with a full day of meetings yesterday, it was very nice today.  We all slept really late. Katy had another great night of sleep. Seriuosly how "not normal" is it for a little 9 year old girl to come with total strangers, hop in the bed next to them and sleep all night happy as can be. She has been good today.  There are times that she acts a little like a wild untrained jungle girl.  Then there are others when she is totally appropriate and very grateful.  Her understanding of English is amazing.  Someone has spent time talking to her in English.  She is smart as can be and loves to laugh.  Her and Leah get along really well and her favorite toy is Leah's make up.  She doesn't like skirts, capri's, or anything in her hair. (that is about all I brought for her)  She was doing Kung Fu moves for Leah and I last night and then the next second she was dancing.  She loves her own money and she won't hesitate to interupt or go into a full pout if she doesn't get her way.  I think she is figuring out quickly that the pout gets her no where.  She gives it a good try though.

We met a nice young man today while were out.  He is from the same city as Katy.  He is studying English in school.  He just went with us all over. He even ate lunch with us. His name is Bruce, as in Bruce Lee and his favorite NBA team is the Lakers.  We had lots of fun talking basketball.  We shared with him about God and exchanged emails.  It was a fun time.  Tomorrow is our visit to Katy's orphanage.  We have been there before as you know.  That is where we met her a little over a year ago.  Amazing how things come together.  Scott asked me today if I wanted to adopt Bruce who is a 20 year old.  I think he would go home with us too.  Please continue to pray for us and wisdom on training a little girl who has had so little in her life.
