What has been going on around here!

If you are wondering what our family has been doing over the last few weeks I thought I would give you a snapshot into our family.  Birthdays, Just Dance, lots of basketball, and the newly remodeled girls room by Me!
Are we taking a trip soon?  Oh yes, the girls had their toenails done today.  You can't bring home a new daughter with icky toes now can you?  I think I should start getting ready for a 2 wk trip to China and leaving the kids at home.  I really think it is so much to do that I would rather escape to the nail place...however I am a grown up so I am going to be forced to behave that way and start the preparation.  I have to admit in between painting and nails I have slowly begun the process of leaving.  We are all very excited to get our girly.  Only 6 more days until Gotcha Day.

WE ARE GOING TO CHINA!!!!!  and soon

Yep, we have our approval from China to come and get our girl.....we have 3 airline tickets for that crazy, marathon flight around the world and we now have a freshly painted bedroom for our 3 little China girls.  We leave one week from Fri. and I haven't even thought about packing because I have been painting......these colors. What do you think?  I would not recommend starting a project like this so close to a trip this big.  It doesn't do a whole lot for the stress level.  Anyway we are going whether we are ready or not.  We truly can't wait to get Katy.  We are all having dreams about her being here with us already.  At this time of every adoption my body just doesn't want to sleep.  My mind just keeps planning and dreaming of our new child and what it will be like.  Usually by the time I hit that 15 hr plane flight I am ready to sleep.  She will be with us on March 5th and that is 15 hrs ahead of Denver time.  Our sweet little Leah will be going with us to help take care of and play with her new sister.  Scott will be returning after one week so Leah will be there to keep me company that last week.  If you remember Samuel and Katy lived together in a foster home.  He told me the other day that I needed to learn Chinese so I told him to teach me.  He blurted out a really long sentence in Chinese.  I told him I wasn't sure I would be able to do that and he said that's ok mom.  How about  you call me on the computer and I will tell her.  It was a very sweet something about we have a nice family that will take good care of her and give her lots of food to eat.  I love that boy.

On a serious note...we would love your prayers as we plan this next week, leave our children behind with my mom, and add another life to this family.  Pray for her to not be afraid and be open to receive the love that we all so badly want to give her.  Pray for good health for us traveling as well as for the kids here and my mom.  We look forward to sharing this beautiful and hopefully peaceful story with you.  Stay tuned for much more to come.
